We promote the region as tourist destination and give a boost to the local economy, employment and society, through the Tourism Partnership for Thessaly which we have formed along with Marketing Greece, SETE and the Region of Thessaly. The Integrated Marketing Plan and all the promotion activities, were presented yesterday at a special event held in Volos.

​Thessaly is a region of great importance for us, which we firmly support. A place with unique stories, rich history, and magnificent beauty. A place so vivid and genuine, worth to "travel" around the world!

With great pleasure, we shaped in November 2016 the Tourism Partnership for Thessaly along with Marketing Greece SETE and the Region of Thessaly, following the commitment we made to keep contributing to the region. We joined forces and created a comprehensive plan for the promotion of Thessaly as a tourist destination in Greece and abroad and give a boost to the local economy, businesses, employment and community.

The Integrated Marketing Plan and all the promotion activities, were presented yesterday at a special event held in Volos.

With the unique promotional platform "Thessaly Handcrafted by Time", the region is positioned as a handiwork of time created by landscapes, people, cultures, myths, a canvas on which time weaves a unique story. For the Greek audience, the campaign relies on the values, traditions and the promise of "returning to roots". Visitors are invited to unravel a world of unexpected experiences, thread by thread, to knit their own journey throughout seasons and locations. Handcraft their own story in a place handcrafted by time.

More than 30 creative applications, are designed for all the destinations in both Greek and English, serving the needs of a coherent and unified communication. All creative applications together with a detailed manual are captured on a special guide, ready to be used by the Region, the local authorities of Thessaly and those active in the promotion of local tourist product. Through the inclusive catalogue of tourism products and experiences, Thessaly is launched as an ideal tourist destination which can offer amazing experiences to visitors throughout the year! 

The Activities Plan of the partnership for 2017 includes the implementation of an exclusive training programme for tourism professionals of the in the region, aiming to enhance the quality and functionality of touristic businesses. A significant number of professionals will be trained in 2017 on basic principles and knowledge of online marketing, in a program that includes the implementation of 4 thematic workshops in Larissa, Volos, Karditsa and Trikala.

A dynamic and strategically targeted Digital Promotion Programme, will also be implemented within 2017 utilizing digital media and content already developed in 2016.
