Represents the third consecutive investment in cutting edge technology by Coca‑Cola HBC in Greece, bringing the total to €57m in past three years

• 80 new positions to be created
• OTE Group will provide IT support services for Coca‑Cola HBC in 19 countries

Coca‑Cola HBC has selected OTE Group to provide IT support services in 19 countries. This is a new investment of €8.7m in Greece, that safeguards business continuity and creates more than 80 new positions in the IT sector. This is the 3rd ICT project developed by OTE Group on behalf of Coca‑Cola HBC and at the same time the most complex in terms of IT support services that has ever been undertaken by the Group.

IT support services shall be provided by OTE Group to 26,000 Coca‑Cola HBC users, in 19 countries (Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Romania, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Slovenia, Bosnia, Croatia, Nigeria, Serbia, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, FYROM) delivered on a 24/7, year-round basis in their native languages, assuring efficient management and issues’ resolution across all enterprise information systems (Ordering, CRM, ERP, HR, etc). These services are already being provided in 8 out of 19 countries.

With regards to this new investment in technology, Mrs. Giota Labropoulou, Group Business Solutions & Systems Manager for Coca‑Cola HBC in 13 countries, stated: “We are extremely proud of bringing another strategic investment to Greece, as well as the fact that Coca‑Cola HBC has chosen Greece and OTE Group for the third consecutive large-scale technological investment in the past 3 years. Coca‑Cola HBC investments in ICT projects in Greece have reached a total of 57 million euros since 2015 and have multiple benefits for the country: highlighting the pivotal role played in providing high added value services in most of CCHBC’s territories and the contribution to youth employment for young talented people in the country”.

Capitalizing on the know-how and specialization of its subsidiary, COSMOTE e-value for Contact Center Services, OTE Group developed new combined multilingual IT Service Desk services, creating two operating centers exclusively for Coca‑Cola HBC’s needs. This project is designed to allow the technical support team to diagnose, analyze, administer and coordinate distant support and resolution activities for the enterprise information systems of Coca‑Cola HBC across the 19 countries, right at the first contact. It will so by leveraging the use of a variety of technologies and automations.

Technology investments with OTE Group as a strategic partner.

The cooperation of Coca‑Cola HBC with OTE Group for the realization of large scale technological projects, started with the development of a cutting-edge Data Center, being one of the largest not only in Greece but in Europe, Middle East and Africa. The Data Center was completed in 2016, serving the 24/7, year-round business activities and operations of Coca‑Cola HBC in 28 countries. It has also been awarded at the WITSA Global ICT Excellence Awards.

 

In 2017, the Data Center investment was followed by the redesigning and upgrading of the IT infrastructure that supports the SAP Business Warehouse application, forming one of the biggest SAP HANA facilities in Europe for Coca‑Cola HBC.

 

The total amount invested by Coca‑Cola HBC in technology for these three projects amounts to 57 million euros in the past three years.
