Following the August 2025 wildfires in Patras–Achaia, Coca‑Cola Tria Epsilon and Coca‑Cola Hellas responded immediately with a coordinated initiative that combines environmental restoration project with meaningful actions supporting local communities.
Our aim is to strengthen the environmental and social resilience of the region and contribute to a rapid and sustainable recovery after a natural disaster.
The people who live, work, and support the region every day are at the heart of this initiative.
Stergios, a forester, worked across the burned areas of Achaia, constructing log barriers and wooden structures to stabilize the scorched soil. With the first heavy rainfall, he saw the impact of his work: the mud and debris were contained, and the mountain was effectively protected. Natural regeneration has already begun.
Panagiotis, a livestock farmer, saw his flock enveloped in smoke during the days of the fire. He remained in his village, and today he notices the changes in the land where he works every day: stabilized soil, more protected slopes, and an ecosystem in recovery, offering better conditions for both his work and his daily life.
Athena, an internist from Doctors of the World, arrived in Achaia during the wildfire and witnessed the fear and uncertainty of the residents. Today, through the Mobile Medical Unit, she visits the villages and provides medical and psychological support, helping people regain a sense of safety and confidence in their everyday lives.
