An additional $250,000 donation from The Coca-Cola Foundation in collaboration with the Bodossaki Foundation to aid affected communities in the region
Coca-Cola Tria Epsilon has officially assumed the Restoration & Regeneration of the natural ecosystem in the fire-affected areas of Patras–Achaia, following the €1 million donation announced by The Coca-Cola HBC Foundation in August. The official support was confirmed during a meeting at the Ministry of Environment & Energy on Friday, October 24, attended by the Minister of Environment and Energy, Mr. Stavros Papastavrou, the Secretary General of Forests, Mr. Stathis Stathopoulos, the Regional Governor of Western Greece, Mr. Nektarios Farmakis, and representatives of local authorities.
The donation will fund the immediate implementation of anti-erosion and flood protection measures in the Piros and Meilichos watershed areas. These interventions aim to retain sediment, stabilize slopes, and safeguard residential zones, farmland, and critical infrastructure from flood risks. At the same time, they will help mitigate soil erosion and promote the natural regeneration of the local ecosystem. Preparatory activities are already underway, with restoration works expected to commence shortly under the supervision of the competent forestry authorities.
The immediate restoration of areas affected by wildfires is a key priority for the government. We have acted swiftly in Feneos, Corinthia, in Chios wildfires in July, and now in Achaia, as well as in other affected regions such as Kythera. Following the major wildfire on August 12, restoration studies were completed in record time to prepare for the winter. Coca-Cola Tria Epsilon has taken on the flood protection and erosion control works as a private sponsor, and I would like to thank them on behalf of the Ministry.

Responding to the needs of the people of Achaia, we provided the Bodossaki Foundation with funding to design and implement an emergency relief program. We aim to offer meaningful assistance to 1.900 individuals, helping meet the immediate needs of the local communities.
Carlos Pagoaga President of The Coca-Cola Foundation
Bodossaki Foundation, faithful to its vision of a society of equal opportunities, systematically acts as a channel of giving to Greek society, joining forces with organizations that share its long-standing commitment to social contribution, in order to co-create programs with a substantial social impact. In the aftermath of the devastating wildfires in Achaia, we have partnered with Doctors of the World to create a relief program, for those affected and for the local community, funded by The Coca-Cola Foundation. Through this program, we will contribute with holistic interventions – placing particular emphasis on the needs of the most vulnerable groups, to address the urgent needs of our fellow citizens.
