It is always a great pleasure for me to inaugurate a new investment in the country, and I make a point of attending such important moments whenever possible. Even more so today, as we mark the launch of a new significant production line by CocaCola Tria Epsilon, a company of the CocaCola HBC with Greek DNA, which is now celebrating 75 years of creative presence. Your investment represents a leap in productivity. Together with the private sector and leading Greek businesses, we are building a Greece that produces and exports, that evolves in line with the times; a Greece that thrives.

Across all our markets, Coca-Cola HBC continues to grow with purpose and momentum. Greece is not just part of that story, it is at its core. This is one of our founding markets, a country that has shaped our identity, and above all, a place where our people consistently raise the bar through their talent, commitment, and pride. Today’s announcements bring our total investment in Greece to more than €180 million over the past five years. These are long-term decisions, and they reflect our confidence in this country, its future and its people.

Today is not just about a new production line. It is one more proof that Greece produces, evolves and innovates. Our Schimatari plant carries history, experience, know-how, and people who, for decades, have demonstrated every day what consistency and quality really mean. Behind every investment lies something more meaningful: trust in this country, in its people, and in its potential. In the same spirit, today we have the pleasure to announce, through the Coca-Cola HBC Foundation, a donation of €1 million for the fire protection of the traditional Olive Grove of Amfissa. Because we believe that protecting our natural and cultural heritage is a responsibility shared by all of us.
Naya Kalogeraki Chief Operating Officer of Coca‑Cola HBC

With a presence and continuous activity in Greece for nearly 60 years, these investments highlight the Coca-Cola HBC strategic direction and its continuous, long-term commitment to sustainable growth, with a positive impact on the Greek economy and society.

The new ultra‑high‑speed PET production line represents a major advancement in productivity and sustainability for the Schimatari plant. Production capacity is doubled - and in some formats, more than doubled - across all packaging, making the line one of the fastest within the Coca‑Cola HBC Group. Indicatively, for 1‑litre bottles, output increases from 21,000 to 50,000 bottles per hour.

At the same time, it incorporates innovative technology that replaces plastic wrapping with a paper handle. Combined with the new, lighter bottle, cap, and label design, this reduces plastic usage by 520 tonnes annually. Energy consumption is reduced by 52% and CO₂e emissions by 2,239 tonnes per year.

The investment to state‑of‑the‑art Logistics Centre in Attica forms part of Coca‑Cola Tria Epsilon supply chain transformation. By leveraging cutting‑edge technologies and automation, it will ensure smart, efficient, and reliable real‑time operations, enhancing flexibility and resilience across the supply chain.

With a capacity of 33,000 pallets and the ability to manage up to 350 trucks daily, it will significantly benefit customer service in terms of speed and accuracy while becoming  the largest logistics centre operated by a consumer goods company in Greece, after those of major retail companies.

The facility will employ 50 people, creating new highly specialised roles within a modern working environment with high standards of safety and quality.

We are proud to welcome the Prime Minister today to the Schimatari plant, the largest soft drinks and juice production facility in Greece, employing more than 400 people. With four production plants, we produce 96% of our products locally, employ over 1,800 people, and export to sixteen international markets. Today’s investments strengthen our ability to better serve our customers, making our organisation more agile, resilient, and future‑ready. They reaffirm the Coca‑Cola HBC Group’s confidence in Greece, creating shared value for customers, employees, partners, local communities, and the environment.

2026 is a year of particular significance for the Coca‑Cola HBC Group, marking 75 years anniversary. In this context, and in line with initiatives focused on prevention and disaster recovery to strengthen community resilience, the grant announced by Ms. Naya Kalogeraki on behalf of the Coca‑Cola HBC Foundation will create a fire protection enhancement programme for the traditional Amfissa Olive Grove.

The programme will be implemented through a donation of €1 million from the Coca‑Cola HBC Foundation, in collaboration with Global Water Partnership Mediterranean, the Municipality of Delphi, and the Civil Protection authorities of the municipality.

Fire Protection Enhancement Programme for the traditional Amfissa Olive Grove

The programme aims to strengthen fire protection and overall resilience across part of the traditional Amfissa Olive Grove, a living monument of natural and cultural heritage stretching from Delphi and Amfissa to the Corinthian Gulf. It is one of the oldest and largest continuous olive groves in Greece, covering approximately 55,000 acres and including more than 1.2 million olive trees, many of them over 3,000 years old.

Programme interventions focus on strengthening both prevention and operational response through actions such as upgrading rural roads to ensure unimpeded access for firefighting forces and the timely containment of fire outbreaks, the creation of small-scale firebreak zones, the installation of strategically located water tanks, and the deployment of early fire detection and monitoring systems.

It is noted that in 2025–2026, the restoration of areas in Achaia following summer wildfires was implemented through an additional donation of €1 million by the Coca‑Cola HBC Foundation.
