Coca Cola Tria Epsilon and AB Vassilopoulos launch their partnership to reduce their environmental footprint, starting with a joint initiative for more sustainable packaging

Focusing on Coca-Cola Tria Epsilon's new paper handle packaging, the two companies encourage consumers to choose more sustainable product packaging, while strengthening the work of the environmental organization Aegean Rebreath.

Coca-Cola Tria Epsilon and AB Vassilopoulos are joining forces, launching their new partnership aimed at reducing their environmental footprint and creating a more sustainable and resilient supply chain. Focusing on the transportation, refrigeration and packaging sectors, the two companies are developing joint initiatives to reduce carbon emissions resulting from their activity across the value chain. Delivering on their commitment, they are moving forward with the implementation of their first joint initiative in the field of sustainable packaging.

At the heart of this initiative is the next-generation paper handle packaging of Coca-Cola in Greece (Coca-Cola Tria Epsilon & Coca-Cola Hellas), an innovative secondary packaging solution that replaces plastic wrapping, significantly reducing plastic use and contributing to the transition to more sustainable packaging options.

Exclusively at AB Vassilopoulos stores, consumers who choose the new multi-packaging with paper handles have the opportunity to contribute in practice not only to the reduction of plastic use, but also to the support of actions protecting the marine environment, while enhancing recyclability and promoting the circular economy.

Specifically, from 6 to 26 August, every purchase of selected Coca-Cola, Fanta Orange and Sprite multipacks at AB stores will support the work of the environmental organization Aegean Rebreath. With this activation, the "Blue Municipalities Network" is supported, through an integrated program of environmental interventions of Aegean Rebreath implemented in the Municipalities of Markopoulo, Lefkada and Kasos.

The program includes coastal and underwater cleanups, as well as the removal of abandoned fishing nets in ports and reefs. At the same time, the program also includes information and awareness actions for the consumer public with the aim of protecting the marine environment, an invaluable natural resource for our country.

With this partnership, Coca‑Cola Tria Epsilon and AB Vassilopoulos prove in practice that the transition to a more sustainable future requires partnerships with a common vision, measurable goals and actions with a substantial impact on the environment and society.
